Knock won by 4 points but Listry will be wondering how the lost this match. A very hard fought game saw Knock just shading the first half 7points to 5.Listry came out the 2nd half and kick them selves in to the lead. Knock giving away silly free’s, but a passing move from defence to attack saw Knock equalise then go in to 1point lead. With minutes to go Listry equalised 10 points each to send the game in to extra time. Knock started finding their men and kick two points Listry got a point Knock increased the lead again but Listry kick another point making the score 13 points to 12 at half time in extra time. The deciding score came from Aenus Mc Auliffe scoring a goal from a great passing move, then a point soon afterwards Listry kick a point but ran out of time. County League 16/3/08

Knocknagoshel 10pts Templenone 1:10

A very competitive game saw Templenone win the game with a goal in the last few minutes.Templenone lead at half time 6pts to 2.A great come back in the 2nd half which saw Denis Walsh kick 5pts levelling the game 8pts each then Knock taking the lead.Templenone fought back then getting the goal sealed the match for them in the last few minutes.

Co Novice Shield Semi-Final Knock V Churchill 26/11/06
Knock played the Novice Shield Semi-Final in Ballymac against Churchill in very poor conditions. Knock were fielding a very young team and were missing many regulars. Churchill started the stronger, playing against the wind and rain, racing into a good lead. They were 1.10 up before Knock scored their first point. Half-time score Churchill 1.11 Knock 0.02. The second half started a bit better for Knock when Carl O'Connor scored a goal . A few points followed, but the game was over as a contest when Churchill got their second goal. Final score Knock 1.05 Churchill 2.14. This ends the season for the seniors for 2006. Co League Knock V Laune Rangers 'B' 29/10/06
Knock were at home for this, the last game of the Co League for 2006. Promotion was no longer a possibility. There was a good few regulars missing due to other commitments. Knock played against the wind in the first half, but finished the half down by 7pts to 4. A goal by Gerry Mangan soon after the break brought them back into the game, but Rangers replied with a goal of their own and dominated the rest of the game to finish easy winners on a score Knock 1.06 Laune Rangers 2.13.

 

N.K.Championship Knock V Brosna 8/10/06
This game was played in ideal conditions in Listowel before a big crowd of supporters. Knock got off to a flying start and were three pionts up before Brosna got their first score. Midway through the half disaster struck for Knock when a high ball in was mis-judged by the keeper Brendan Brosnan and the ball hoped into the net for a Brosna goal against the run of play. This was the turning point of the game that Knock never recovered from. Half time score Knock 0.06 Brosna 1.03. Brosna dominated the second half and kicked some good points. Knock added two late points and finished with 14 players when sub Niall Walsh was sent off for dangerous play. Final score Knock 0.08 Brosna 1.10.

Co League Templenoe V Knock 24/9/06

Knock travelled to Templenoe on Sunday last in the
county league.  Templenoe started the game well and
went in to an early lead.  They gained alot of
possession around the middle of the field.  Knock had
a good goal chance towards the end of the first half
but they failed to capitalise.  Frees from Denis Walsh
and points from Joe Regan from play kept Knock in the
game and at half time the teams went in level.
The second half was similar to the first with
Templenoe having alot of the possesion and they went
in front. Templenoe were reduced  to 14 men with
fifteen  minutes left.  Knock scored a few points but
Templenoe got a crucial goal with 10 minutes left in
the game to go ahead and they held out for a 2 point
win.

Co League Ballylongford V Knock 12/8/06

Knock travelled to Ballylongford on Saturday evening
needing to win to keep hopes of promotion from
Division 5 alive.  However it was to be the home sides
night as they maintained their unbeaten run in the
division.  A goal just before half time gave
Ballylongford a 1-4 to 3 points advantage at the
break.  Knock rallied in the second half and took the
lead with a goal from Billy Rahilly.  The game ebbed
and flowed from here to the finish with Bally scoring
a goal from play and Joe Regan converting a penaly for
Knock.  With only minutes remaining Knock drove
forward in search of a goal but it was Bally who
finished to the net just before the final whistle to
leave 5 points between the sides.  Final score
Ballylongford 3-8, Knocknagoshel 2-6.

Co League Fossa V Knock 1/7/06

Knocknagoshel were away to Fossa in the County League
on Saturday evening.  The game was played in ideal
conditions.  Fossa started very well and led by 0-6 to
0-3 at half time.  Knock upped their performance in
the second half.  Knock were getting the better of
exchanges in the middle of the field and a cracking
goal by David Roche put Knock in the lead. Fossa
through a few frees took the lead and were able to
hold out on a winning score of Fossa 0-10 Knock 1-6.
Best for Knock on the night were Dan Roche, David
Roche, Sean Lenihan, Mike Walsh, and Brian O Connor
when introduced.

Co League Knock V Asdee 3/6/06

Knocknagoshel gained two more county league points at
home to Asdee on Saturday evening. Knock were much the
stronger team throughout.  Asdee scored a goal early
in the first half which kept them within touching
distance.  Despite this Knock led by 1-9 to 1-3 at
half time.  Knock piled on the pressure in the second
half scoring four goals and finished winners on a
score of 5 -12 to 2-6.  Goal scorers for Knock on the
night were Joe Regan (2) Padraig McElligott, David
Roche and Denis McAuliffe.

Knock played Fossa in the first round of the Co Novice Championship in Walsh Park on Sat May 13th. There were some key players missing through injuries and other committments. Fossa played some very fast open football which our lads had no answer to on the night. Final score Knock 0.06 Fossa 0.17.

Co League V Cromane

Knocknagoshel visited Cromane on Saturday night and
came away with a hard earned county league point. In
the end a draw was a fair result. It was very much a
game of two halves with Knock dominating the first
thanks mainly to a goal from David Roche. The
half-time score stood at Knock 1-3, Cromane 2 points.
In the second half Cromane fought their way back into
the game picking up a lot of breaking ball around
midfield.  They were helped in no small way be the
performance of Donnacha Walsh.  A free deep into
injury time secured a draw for Cromane on a scoreline
of Knock 1-6 to Cromane's 9 points.
