New Club Crest

We have recently designed a new club crest as we are to officially open Willie Walsh Memorial Park. The crest represents different landmarks around the parish. The word 'arise' on top of the crest comes from the famous banner 'Arise Knocknagoshel and take your place among the nations of the earth' which was used by a local group who went to Newcastlewest to meet Parnell in the late nineteenth century.

The church represents our well known church on the hill. The name Cnoc na gCaiseal means the hill of the stone walls or oratories.

The bridge represents all the bridges around the parish - Headley's Bridge, Talbots Bridge, The Metal Bridge, Mall bridge etc.

The river flowing under the bridge  represents all the rivers and streams around the parish- The Owveg, The Tullaleague, The Cloghane, The Glenna. All these rivers flow into the Feale.

This crest will be placed on all club jerseys shortly. It will also be available in Vincent Murphy's Sports Shop in Castleisland to be put on any jacket or fleece etc of your own. Replica jerseys will also be available shortly.
